Video is quickly becoming the preferred format of choice for anyone who uses the internet regularly.

Thanks to near-universal WiFi connectivity and lightning-fast streaming capabilities, video is instantly accessible to anybody from practically anywhere.

Successful internet marketers understand this and are using video more frequently to educate, entertain, and inform their customers. Internet users tend to prefer video to text, audio, or other content formats because it’s immediate, fast, and usually uncomplicated.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, than a video that provides high value, niche-relevant content is worth a million.

In this video, we’re going to examine how you can create and distribute your own video content. The first thing we’re going to look at is the technology.

Thanks to the built-in cameras that are included with practically every smart phone, tablet, laptop, and other web-access device, creating your own video content and distributing it to your existing and prospective customers is incredibly easy.

You probably selected the niche you’re working in because you have some expertise with the subject matter, or at least a familiarity with it. Customers in your niche are passionate about learning more about it.

You can give your customers what they want and help strengthen your trust bonds with them by creating one or a series of brief, simple videos that provide them with helpful, actionable information about your niche subject matter that they can use in their everyday lives.

Let’s look at an example of a fast, easy video that you can create using technology you probably already own or can access easily and for free.

Let’s say you are working in the health and fitness niche … which, coincidentally, happens to be a great niche to work in because there are always people looking to get fit and lose weight. That makes health and fitness what’s known as an “Evergreen niche” because like an evergreen tree, it never goes dormant.

With just a few minutes research, you can easily create the script for a five-minute video on the best superfoods for losing weight fast or the most effective workouts for building muscle.

A quick trip to the grocery store for a few props or a visit to your local gym, and you can create a professional-looking video using equipment you already own.

If you are shy about getting in front of the camera, you can create videos using screenshots from your computer or use free downloadable slideshow software to feature the key points of your presentation.

Include a royalty-free background musical track and you have a high-quality video that your customers will value.

Now let’s look at another way you can use video to promote your products and services. Even if you don’t want to create your own videos, you can still use videos to build loyalty bonds with your customers.

All you need to do is use the free, built-in search functions on YouTube, Vimeo, or other popular video sites to find interesting, entertaining videos related to your niche and then send links to these videos to your customers.

You don’t have to worry too much about violating copyright laws or having to pay royalties for videos you find on these public sites, because the people who have posted them have already agreed to share them with anybody who has access to the site.

You do need to be careful, however, if you are sharing copyrighted material, such as clips from commercial movies and TV shows or copyrighted music.

A good approach is to use a combination of videos that you create yourself and others that you find on places like YouTube to provide your target audience with a rich supply of helpful, interesting information that they can use in their everyday lives.

Once you have people actually looking forward to your next videos, you can promote your products and services intermittently and quickly build your online marketing business.
