Odds are you already have a personal Facebook account and you may already have one for your business as well. This is a page you can use to grow your business, build your brand and develop relationships with your customers.
When you log onto your Facebook account, look for the “Create a Page” option on the bottom left corner. Clicking on this button will begin the process of creating your business’ Fan Page.
Facebook makes creating a Fan Page easy by simply following the instructions, beginning with selecting a category and a page name that best represents your business. In most cases, the Fan Page will be named after your business.
Next, pick a logo or another image that people will associate with your business to use as your profile picture and write a sentence or two about your business so people will understand what you are all about. Set a memorable web address for your Page that you can use on marketing material to promote your Facebook Fan Page.
Finally, select a cover photo that represents your brand and showcases your product or service. This ige is going to be the first thing people see when they visit your Page, so choose something extraordinary.
Now that you have a Fan Page, you can post updates, photos, videos and other content that will appear in the feed of everybody who “Likes” your page. Expand your fan base by inviting your friends, family, customers and employees to “Like” your page; click the “Invite E-Mail Contacts” option to upload your subscriber list; and promote your Page on store signs, business cards, receipts, emails, chalkboards and other marketing material.
Now that you have a Fan Page, you can create your first Facebook Ad to promote the Success Academy video course. Your Fan Page is what you want to promote with your first Facebook ad because it is a helpful place to direct visitors and attract new customers. Customers who “Like” your Fan Page spend about twice as much as people who aren’t connected to you on Facebook.
On the bottom of your Fan Page, click on the button that says, “Create an Ad”. This will take you to a page where you can create a Facebook Ad account by entering basic information such as your name, email address and any web addresses you own.
The next step is to click on the “Create an Ad” Button in the upper right hand corner of the page and it will prompt you for the address of the page you want to promote. Now, this can be your Fan Page, a website address, a sales page or wherever it is you want your customers to land once they click on your ad. Simply enter the URL into the box and you will be taken to a page where you can assemble your ad.
Next you want to fill in the boxes to create the content for your ad. You also can upload an image that will appear on your ad. With a lot of affiliate products, this type of information will be provided for you by the affiliate seller. If you are writing your own ad copy, make sure you clearly explain what you are promoting, including details of your products, services or offers. The image you use should be eye-catching yet uncomplicated so that viewers can immediately grasp its purpose when viewed in a small thumbnail size (100 x 72 pixels).
Next, scroll down on the same page and choose your audience. Here is where you enter details about on whose pages you want your ad to appear, including location, age, gender, precise interests, broad categories, connections and if you want it to show up on friends of your connections as well.
Finally, scroll down to the bottom of the page and fill out the campaign, pricing and schedule you want for your Facebook ad. Information includes the type of currency you want to use, your home country, the time zone you are in, the name of your campaign, your daily budget, your campaign’s schedule, and whether you want to run a CPC or CPM campaign.
